Hi, Jessica nice work, I have notice that you like Fantasy, and this work explains a lot, I like the Drow mitology and R.A. Salvatore is one of favorite novelist and this female character is grate. Some details tell me more, a background history, like the spider symbol on her hips, The spider goddess of Drows. The jewelry looks well, the contrast of gold was a grate idea, and I love the ornaments off her clothes. Now, the dark skin is something really difficult to get in illustration, I think some details are lost because the dark shading, like her nose, some toes, and the belly. I now, its weird put some shades in dark colors, I think its more like paint whit light. get through the skin and reveal volume. Congratulations, maybe I should do a sexy dark elf some day. I love your art Jessica. Congratulations.
Hi Jessica. A Woman artist who draws sexy ladies with ample features is a rare and valuable treasure. Can't help but write a review on this.
Vision: I like the idea of a dark elf with dark clothing, although I think the figure may be getting a little lost due to a lack of contrast. The white hair and red eyes are a nice touch. Cool Scythe.
Originality: Well there are a lot of artists who have done elves with big boobs, like Pirotessa from Lodoss. Although by far, this is one of the better interpretations of that. The decorations on her costume give her a lot of personality. The spider tattoo is a unique feature.
Technique: The image lacks enough contrast to get my attention at the thumbnail level. Her figure gets lost in all the dark shades. Maybe lightening the skin tone, or using a different hue for inside the cape. A dark purple or violet, perhaps? Her hands and feet seem a little small to me. Also I can't see her nose which looks a bit odd, maybe a little highlight will help there.
Impact: The character has a presence, both mystical and sexy. The decorations, tattoos and weapon, along with the dark tones makes this picture very interesting to behold. I want to know more about her.
Final: This is a colorful and sexy image with some subtle power behind it. The tones are too dark to see it very well and it may come at a loss as a whole. My humble recommendation is to lighten the tones around her figure so it can be seen (worshiped) a little better.
I don't have premium membership, so I can't give you an actual critique, though I would if I could. Contrast definitely needs work, however, instead of going lighter with her skin, I would go darker. Much darker. Match her to the outside of the cloak. The inside would stand as a background for her, then. Also, drow are notoriously said to have black skin, not dark gray. That's why I'd go darker. Otherwise, I love the hair, the eyes, and the details with the scythe and jewelry. Give as much attention to the figure as was given to those aspects, and this could well be an absolutely incredible work, instead of a really good one.
I love it, the details are amazing and the fact she actually has a full body make this piece even more valuable. In fact i found the spider tattoo on her hip rather sexy and appealing. What i love the most about it is in fact the patterns on the scythe's rod. Those are Celtic knots right? But the patterns on the cloak/robe are beautiful as well. Excellent piece. -Favs-
